Stu,

I think you may be one and the same Stu (do you live in California?) that helped me with an itinerary somewhere else - Croatia/Slovenia, or Turkery perhaps.

I am curious about your comment regarding KV. I read about the spa town aspect which sounded reasonably interesting but if it is just drinking a glass of warm water, I can pass. What do you think?

Yes, I'm the one...I live in L.A...may have been Croatia or Slovenia or Turkey or all three.
What was your handle then?

As for K-V, I would not say "skip it" if you had more time to devote for what I think are better choices.

K-V is a pretty glimpse of "Old Europe" during the Hapsburg regimes, etc...old, impressive buildings, hotels, etc., nicely presented, and the obligatory (as you say) warm waters, drinking fountains, etc...you're planned drive made me think that it was far too circuitous...K-V, as a day trip from Prague, Ok...we drove in from Munich once, but to drive to CeskyK, then to Pilsen, then in another direction northwest and then back track east is suspect. In your time frame, I'd say fuggedaboutit...(look at the map of Cz and you'll probably agree)

Have a great trip, Caver...write direct if you wish
