Cycling in Normandy, Brittany

We are planning a two week trip to the Normandy, Brittany areas of France the last two weeks in Sept. Any advice on best locations where to stay, rent bikes, what to see and do? Thanks!

Would love to cycle quiet country roads and visit quaint villages. We are planning to visit Brest, Quimper and Carnac too.

Pick up a copy of the Michelin Green Guides to Normandy and Brittany, which include suggested itineraries and loads of useful information.

I just posting so this thread will be marked for me to return to. When I visited Normandy, I kept thinking how nice it would be to return for a bicycle trip.

Keith...check out VBT's website for cycling tours in the Loire Valley and Normandy. We've travelled VBT twice on bike tours in the U.S. and found everything outstanding! They take care of everything regarding the bikes, so it was an essentially "no-worry" vacation. We are toying with the idea of going to France next year on one of their "bike and barge" tours.

Get the Michelin 1:200,000 scale maps and stay on the white roads, using yellow roads if necessary, and red roads only if no other roads go where you want to go.
