CURRENCY CHEAT SHEET FOR TRAVELING!
Hey there!

A while back I saw a thread about currency conversion. I think someone was asking about cheat sheets but I'm not sure.

In any case, we used a sheet on our trip last year and I finally tracked down the site. If anyone is interested, this is a great place to get a quick cheat sheet (I put mine on the copier and reduced it down to a business card size so it was small). It came in real handy when trying to figure out conversions in a hurry.

The site is www.oanda.com/converter/travel

Hope it's helpful!

Lynn, I did much the same thing. We were going to be dealing with 4 currencies, I reduced the 4 relevant cheat sheets , made a square of the 4 like this (+), copied again, then fold in half then half again. I made one for each member of our party. As we traveled, we just unfolded to the currency of the day. Worked well.

Another solution that I've had good luck with. Get a credit card sized calculator (Radio Shack has them) and paste a file label or similar to the back and write the countries and conversion rates in pencil on the label. When you want to make a conversion, just divide the cost in Lire, pounds, or whatever by the rate you've entered and you have an immediate and accurate result.
