Cruise Luggage

Hi, Any suggestions where I could store a large piece of cruise luggage during our post trip down to Amalfi coast? Coming into Genoa, driving down or train to Sorrento, stay 4 days and then back to Rome for the last night. Hate to carry it around with us. HELP! Thanks.

Hi Carole - Do you want to store it in Rome? At the airport?

There is a luggage store at Roma Termini and at FCO airport.

Hope this helps ...

There is also a luggage depot at Genova Piazza Principe train station, if your cruise starts for Genova.

I guess I am confused. Do you disembark from your cruise on Genoa or Civitavecchia?

Hi, We embark at Fort Lauderdale and disembark in Genoa and want to go right down to stay for four days in Sorrento. Then we head to Rome and leave from there. Any suggestions? Maybe we could drive from Genoa into Rome and drop luggage somewhere. Steve, Did you say there is a spot at FCO? That is where we are flying out of to return home. Thanks so much.

If you are getting a car, isn't it just as easy to leave it in the trunk of your car until you go to Rome to leave for home?

I thought about leaving it in the trunk but the car is a hatchback and it would be visible. I am very leery of leaving anything in the car that I wouldn't want stolen. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Every single hatchback I have ever rented in Europe - there has been a cover over the luggage compartment. So unless you are taking everything but the kitchen sink - your luggage will be hidden from view . . . .

Thank you so much for reminding me about that cover. I forgot. We were two couples driving over Italy a few years ago and the other couple had so much luggage there was no room for the cover. We wound up leaving it at the car rental agency. Thank you - another problem off my list.

Well I finally heard from Hotel Golden where we will be staying for the last night in Italy (in Rome) and they will store our extra piece of luggage until we return from Sorrento. Whew I will be able to sleep tonight! Thank you all for your help. Have a wonderful Easter!
