Croatia in a few months as tourists?
Forgive my ignorance from this end of the earth, but how much are things as usual in Split and Dubrovnik? Considering a visit in a few months, but don't want to clutter things up with our touristic selves if things are upset with refugee situation.

The refugee path does not go anywhere near the coast. It is far to the north and east.
I would think that would not change in the next few months.
I am considering a trip to Croatia and Slovenia next year and am not really worried.
The only issue would be if the flow is stopped and thousands of refugees are stranded with no place to go.

don't worry about refugees... they have their own paths and centers, so, even the regular Croatian citizens are nor seeing anyone of them except on TV.
the best time of the year for visiting Croatia are spring and fall... in summer, this is very touristic, crowded place and, now, in wintertime the best part of Croatia is Zagreb. Not just in Croatia, Zagreb was chosen this year as the best Christmas market destination in whole Europe! Enough said
