OK, thinking of this. Have been to Europe many times so looking for critique.

Leave US Sep 18 arrive Brussels 19, want to cover Belgium, Luxembourg, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, return to US on 29 or 30 from Amsterdam or Brussels or perhaps elsewhere. Will be using American Airlines free tickers (freg. flyer) so may be somewhat restricted on where I can get out of.

Reasonable idea or not?

Let's see: you have 11 days in Europe and you want to see 5 countries. Too much, IMHO. You can fly (normally expensive!) from BeNeLux to Copenhagen in an hour and a half, but land transport takes more than a day. Copenhagen to Stockholm is also an expensive flight.
Limit your trip to BeNeLux OR Copenhagen/Stockholm.
More than enough to see in both of these regions to easily fill 11 days.

I agree with Sjoerd. I've been to Belgium (twice) and the Netherlands (once) and very briefly to Luxembourg. Since you're flying into Brussels and flying out of either Amsterdam or Brussels, I would limit your trip to those countries, especially since you only have 10 or 11 days. I would split your time between 2 or 3 cities and spend 3-5 nights in each and use them as bases from which to take daytrips. Amsterdam alone merits at least 3 days & nights, and Bruges another 2-3. I would save Scandinavia for another time.
