Country walks/Hikes Siena?

I will be in Siena for a couple of weeks and would love to take some hikes or walks in the countryside that won't involve too much stress figuring out buses back to Siena! Is this possible?
Either country roads or hikes that do not include scrambling up mountainsides I will be alone!
thank you.

The Via Francigena passes through Siena. I've done sections in other parts of Tuscany and enjoyed the walks through the countryside. Some of it was on paved side roads, but much of the parts I did were dirt roads or paths through fields. I've never done any sections immediately near Siena. Zooming in on the map it looks like the area around Siena is all on local roads.
