Country Inn in Bath area

I have a couple of days to spare at the end of June before visiting London. I was thinking of renting a car and travelling from Heathrow to Swansea with a stop over in the Bath or Salisbury area to view a couple of attractions. Are there any recommended small country inns/B&B establishments in the area? As long as they are clean and comfortable!

John, have a look at the Infotel web site for hotels in/near Bath. And then find the Old Manor Hotel. I am staying there in October. You can even choose the room you want from photo images on the web.http://www.infotel.co.uk/search/deta...tails&id=21592

Try the Whiteheart Inn at Ford (nr Castle Combe, jnct 17 off the M4). It's a charming pub/ hotel with an exceptional restaurant (make sure you book a table), maybe 25mins from Bath by car. Spread over a few buildings and near a small bridge, the situation is peace itself. If you have some spare time you could check out why neighbouring Castle Combe is consistently voted one of the most beautiful villages in the UK. The Whiteheart at Ford (tel. 01249 782213)

John, <BR> I'm staying at the Bloomfield House in Bath next week. It was a house built for the mayor and mayoress of Bath and overlooks the city. It is a beautiful home! You con visit their website by just typing Bloomfield House on your browser. Have a great trip!

Apsley House in Bath is quite lovely and Woolley Grange in Bradford-on-Avon is as well. There is also The Wheatsheaf in Combe Hay in a peaceful valley near Bath.
