64 more days. 1 week in Paris and then a week in Spain. This will be our second time to Paris and first to Spain. Tickets, apartments, hotels and overnight train reservations are all taken care of. Working on categorizing all of the information that I've obtained from web sites and from all of you. :D

iltt29, about 22 hours left. I'm so excited for you!! And I leave in a mere 47 hours 20 minutes for Paris - I will certainly have a croque monsieur (one of my faves too) and a Beaujolais and toast all you Fodorites who have helped make my latest French foray so easy to plan!

Have a great trip iltt!! :D

I've posted before, but I leave for the Brittany & Normandy regions 1 week from today! :) I can't wait.

mr_go May 9th, 2006 12:38 PM

OK, today is the 4-week mark. I can now say I am in "official" countdown mode. Let the counting down begin!

I have to say, with all the cool places on our itinerary this time around (Nice, St. Remy, Avignon, Carcassone, Pezenas, etc.), it's the relaxing week in the beautiful Dordogne Valley that I'm looking forward to most.

Have a good trip ilovetotravel29/birthdaygirlstrip. Enjoy London and Florence. Glad you added what seems like a day to your travels in Florence. Wise move.

Enjoy your trip, Monica! I'm looking forward to hearing all about it when you return.

mcnyc May 10th, 2006 06:59 AM

Monica, have a wonderful trip! Can't wait for your trip report! :D

monicapileggi May 10th, 2006 08:12 AM

I'm all packed - carry on is 21.4 lbs and "personal item" 10 pounds. Hope I can get away with that! It's larger than a large purse.

Ciao,

Monica ((F))

Oh...this year's a beauty.

Next trip: To Devon. Travelling by car with a good friend from England. I'll be teasing her about the trunk and hood while she'll make me check out the boot and bonnet.

Then, off to Seattle. We'll be checking out the Schwingfest in Bonney Lake, Washington. An old stomping place of mine.

Then, off to Ascona. Pure bliss.

Then, off to Brand, Austria, for a weekend of hiking and Austrian hospitality.

Lastly, an extended wellness weekend in Bayern.

What a year!

16 hours till I fly to Amsterdam (side trip to Rotterdam), Amsterdam--> fly to Berlin, --> train to Prague --> fly back to Amsterdam to home. I'm packed, but time flies and though we have the basic stuff- flights and hotels, I feel like I know nothing about these cities. It is my first time in each of these countries. Hence, me being on here at 1am trying to decide what is most important to do and what vegetarian restaurants to eat at, and what to buy.

One more sleepless night...to Tuscany and Umbria. Too excited now to sit still. Thank you to everyone that contributes to the board. It has been so helpful.
