Could you recommend a city tour in Reykjavík?
Hello guys!
As I plan to spend 2 days in Reykjavík, I wonder if you can suggest an interesting city walk around the capital,
Thanks a lot in advance!

I did a guide-led walking tour, I Heart Rykjavik, which was good. Starts at the famous church, Hallgrimskirkja, and wends through various streets while you learn some history and general info. I also did a self-guided walk around the pond, to see all the statues. It was a nice walk, they're interesting sculptures and it brings you past the City Hall, Art Museum and a good bakery.

A tip is to go the sculpture garden behind the Einar Jónsson Museum, which is diagonally across from Hallgrimskirkja. The entrance to the sculpture garden is behind the museum, no charge and interesting.
Another tip is a really good pizzeria near the church - Eldsmiðjan. It's about a block down the hill from the sculpture garden, then turn right onto Bragagata and it's ahead on the left. The entrance is into their take out area, but go upstairs to dining areas on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Great sound track, good pizza and handy spot to rest your feet.

If you are not sure when you will be available for a tour of Reykjavik....
then
just show up at the Harpa House ( Opera House or Music Hall)
right on the waterfront.
There is a walking tour from here and it departs every 30 minutes between 10 AM to 4:30 PM
Your takes about 1.5 hours
Cost is about $ 30.00 US

We went on a free walking tour - about 2 hours, free but you pay a tip at the end. It was really entertaining and educational. Highly recommended!
I cover it in my trip report of Iceland:
