Cost to drive from Ljubljana, Slovenia to Zagreb, Croatia

We are going to be driving from Ljubljana, Slovenia to Zagreb, Croatia in a few days. According to Mappy website, the cost of road tolls for this trip will be 110 euros! I will be purchasing a one week sticker for road tolls when I get to Slovenia (15 euros from what I have read) so that leaves just the portion of driving in Croatia which is the smaller portion (on the A3). I am pretty certain that Mappy has made a mistake but want to be sure as we are on a budget. Anyone?

Try viamichelin.com. It says no tolls on this drive, only the vignette.

The expense will come in if you rent the car in Slovenia and drop it in Croatia. There's usually a substantial fee for renting a car in one country, returning it in another.

Thank you for your reply. I had looked for other sites but all of them only gave the cost of fuel, not tolls. But this site seems spot on. I live in France so will be taking my own car. Thanks again!

Vignette in Slovenia is about 35 € (maybe less, maybe 35 is what my rental asked). Don't know if you can purchase for 1 week only.

The roads in Slovenia are superb.

Cost is just price of vignetta and petrol for the car. Your info from web is very wrong. If you have time you can drive scenic route, not motorway, so no vignetta. I would avoid weekend travel as you can be stuck on main border crossing for an hour or more or you can use smaller border crossing - Dobova near Brezice.

You can buy vignette in Slovenia for a one week period or if being in the country longer - you can buy a vignette for a longer time frame.
