Corte Grimani (Venice): A little upset and I'm not even there yet. Hope this isn't a sign...

Corte Grimani is rated number one on Tripadvisor so I think they feel they can do whatever they want. My Dad and I stayed there and the hotel was beautiful but if you want to use the kitchen it is €50 and breakfast is €12 for not a great selection. If we wanted two beds they charged for that also! €30 a night is crazy!

Hi everyone
We just got back last night from Venice. I'm having a hard time with jet lag today, so a full trip report will be later, but I wanted everyone to know that Corte Grimani was wonderful. I have nothing but good things to say. Donatella and everyone at the front desk were very kind and helpful. When it came time to check out, there was no charge for the sofa bed.
I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Great location, beautiful apartment, and very quiet at night.

Hello Johanna
So glad to hear that everything worked out well. I am planning a trip to Venice (as well as a few other cities) for friends that are going in the fall. I will let them know about Corte Grimani.
