Cordoba or Málaga to Salamanca
We have a trip planned to Spain in October. This will be our 3 rd trip in the past couple of years and we plan to visit places we haven't been to, and a return to Madrid which we love. We are very stuck on getting from Málaga or Cordoba to Salamanca and would really appreciate some input
Here is our current plan:
Depart 10/16 arrive Madrid and change plane to Valencia on 10/17
Arrive 5 p.m. Valencia - 4 nights for 3 full days
Train to Cordoba - 2 nights for 2 full days ( we have been there before but just a day trip and we would like more time here)
Train to Malaga - 3 nights for 3 days if we can get early train from Cordoba
Train or fly to Salamanca 3 nights (looks like it will be about 6 hours to get there so thinking we want 2 full days)??
Train to Madrid for 6 full days
it appears we will spend less train time if we travel Valencia to Cordoba versus Valencia to Málaga, but getting to Salamanca is the issue, and we really want to do that this trip.
The only other "idea" we have is to drop Cordoba, since we've been there, go from Valencia to Málaga and then head to Salamanca and spend some time in Ribero del Duoro or the Salamanca wine areas, but not sure? We are flexible.
Thanks very much for your input. We are trying hard to not pull ourselves back to Donostia ......which we loved....
