Hi Nikki,
the coast north of Copenhagen (an hour away by car) is very pleasant... and there are some very nice inns/hotels. I will try and find some info/addresses for you and get back...

mk2 is so right.DAngleterre is run down.It is billed as a 5 star hotel, the best in Copenhagen, this tells me that there are no 5 star hotels in the city. The DAngleterre was a huge disappointment.

Thanks, CPHtraveller, I would appreciate it. My husband also would like to spend a night in Sweden, just for the experience. Anything within an hour of Copenhagen that you might suggest?

I have been researching day trips to Sweden from Copenhagen and am interested in going to Malmo and Helsigborg. Is there enough to do in each city for an entire day? Can someone give me an idea of what one might do there for the day? Also, is it possible to get from Copenhagen to each Roskilde and Ribe by bus or train? I looked on the rail europe schedule and could not find either of these desitinations.
