Bob, I did a search on this subject not long ago with many results. La Bottega del 30 was listed to be not far form Siena. www.nettuno.it/fiera/labottegadel30

Here's my suggestion for a romantic place to stay about half an hour's drive from Siena: Relais La Suvera -- <BR>www.lasuvera.it <BR> <BR>Another romatic destination, one that also has a cooking school is Relais Il Falconiere in Cortona. -- <BR>http://www.ilfalconiere.com/cooking.html <BR> <BR>Here's a good resource for doing a web search: <BR> <BR>http://www.cuisineinternational.com/index2.html <BR> <BR>Good luck!

Check out TuscanWomenCook.com. Located in tiny Montefollonico, it's in the middle of what I consider the most gorgeous area of Tuscany. A wonderful program in a beautiful place.

Bob- you could also try villasandvoyages.com go into their website and click on Savor of France--this is their cooking/wine tasting division of the company--they do France and Italy---the Italian area that they do ahs a lot of cooking and wine tasting and markets and 2 star Michelin rest....We did the France one in Burgundy and it was outstanding..We want to go and do Italy next --do Not contact thru email, as they are too busy to answer--get the 800 no.off the website and call David directly.....

Bob, this was something I really wanted to do while I was in Italy too (got back more than 3 weeks ago). Ended up that many agriturismos will offer cooking classes - I took a class from the lady who owned the farmhouse we stayed in and it was wonderful. Very authentic, exactly what I wanted and the best meal I've ever had! If you go to tuscany.net, many of these places offer cooking classes (to name a few: Podere Scanelli, Villa Belvedere and the one I stayed at Il Greppo). Also, chiantinet is a good place to go too. Here are some web addresses I found in my research that offer classes too. Hope that helps! <BR>www.seamus.it/indexeng.html <BR> www.annesitaly.com <BR>http://www.tuscancooking.com/contact...t_frameset.htm <BR>

hi.. <BR> <BR>While looking for interesting places to visit (instead of my cancelled trip to Egypt) I came across the National Geographic site which lists a number of culinary breaks. <BR> <BR>Another site to add to the pile... <BR> <BR>http://iexplore.nationalgeographic.c...Italy/Culinary
