Con artists in Rome

Be aware of well dressed foreign english speaking men driving up to you because they see your english map or guide book and asking for directions. It is a con. They end up asking for gas money after "giving" you a "valuable" leather jacket sample from their factory. I was approached twice in Rome two weeks ago.

David, thanks for the warning, hope you had a great time in Rome, regardless.
