Compliments to JetBlue

One of my relatives just got back from New York City. She was scheduled to fly TWA to the midwest when the crisis occured. Although this was a difficult time, she was not that pleased with the way TWA reacted to the customers stranded in the airport.

However, she noted that JetBlue, the new airline really treated their stranded passengers extreamly well, made sure they had food and found them actual hotel rooms to stay in while they were stranded in New York. Some of the JetBlue workers even talked to her and other passengers to calm the situation.

I hope this airline remains in business and if possible I hope to fly on them someday. It is so wonderful to hear stories like this.

I certainly hope that Suzanne's message is not placed here as an advertisement.

However, I have flown Jetblue on a number of occasions and have found them to be wonderful. I hope too that they survive.

My family members & I have flown Jet Blue several times (JFK> Buffalo and also JFK>Florida) and they were very helpful and eager to please. Glad you also had good experiences.

This is not an advertisement. When I find that a business does an exceptional job at customer service, I would like to pass it on.

Hi,

I have heard quite a lot of good things about jet blue (e.g., leather seats, good service, low prices). Can anyone tell me more about the seat configuration (is it a typical 3-3 configuration in coach?) and the amount of leg room (is it cramped or more like American Airlines or United Mileage Plus seating)?

Thanks.

They have 162 all coach seats on new A320 planes with leather seats and direct TV. Other airlines fit in 150 to 185 seats so they are not the most compact (150 is with a first class section). I have heard they are comparable to American, but I myself have not flied them yet.

Since this is the Europe forum I hope it's okay to ask where in Europe Jet Blue flies to?

Need a book...
Maybe people will take advantage of Jet Blue's low fare to JFK, then switch to an international airline with a low NYC airfare ... just a thought

Looks more and more like a commercial.

In any event, it certainly doesn't belong on the Europe Forum.

Hopefully Fodors newfound interest in enforcing their own rules will get this ad removed.

Need a book: I plan on flying domestic to the east coast, then flying international to get to Europe. I know of a lot of people who do that. Many other people on this board have posted generic airline questions about carry ons and airline security that have nothing to do with Europe per se but they have to do with travel. This is a travel board.

Thanks for posting the website to jetblue. I will check it out to see where it flies. Thanks to all others who posted positive comments. If anyone else has info on this line, please post.

No commercials. JetBlue is truly very good. Seat pitch is 32". Most flights arrive JFK late afternoon when that airport is usually not so busy, and (as noted in an earlier reply) passengers can schedule an early evening departure to Europe or have a stopover in NYC.
