I decided to book for WOI after watching a video of a friend's experience on the same tour last year. I'm sure Pierreci is great also, but I found navigating the website difficult - or due to my own lack of sleep - and my friend's referral was very positive.

Colosseum - Dungeon and Third Order
Information and reservations: +39.06.39967700
After the winter break, reopened to the public of the underground of the Colosseum and resume the tour - and a limited number of reservations - that allow to descend into the belly of the most famous and most visited ancient monument in the world.
From April 7 stories on the gladiatorial games, et munera venationes, will become more vivid in the imagination of visitors because they heard there where they held their final preparations before the wild beasts, scenes, and the same should go up on the floor of the arena for gladiators trigger the enthusiasm of the audience with performances of many colors.
These spaces are preserved in the condition they were in at the end of the fifth century AD, when they were buried. Since then there have been no tampering due to repeated use, as was the case for the high proportion of the Amphitheatre.
The tour continues, then, in various stages within the monument before concluding with a climb to the third ring, unique point of view of the entire auditorium and the valley of the Colosseum. Before you join the one that actually looks like a terrace, you will pass through the only tunnel preserved intact, including some of the plaster coating and the original skylight, which connects the second with the third order. Once back outside, about thirty feet high, the eye takes in the area of the Roman Forum and Palatine in a striking summary of the history of ancient Rome.

I figured WOI included admission where the price is 79 euro. Pierreci's price is 20 euro total. Do I still need to buy a general admission to the Colosseum? I feel like I'm missing something in the translation.

bxl4373, Pierreci's price includes admission as well. The price difference between Pierreci and WOI is due to a few things: 1. Pierreci's tour is 90 minutes and WOI's is 3 & 1/2 hours long which brings me to 2. WOI includes the Forum and Palatine Hill whereas Pierreci's tour does not. 3. Max group size for WOI is 12 people and Pierreci is 40 people.
