Is it possible to get to the little city of Collodi, Italy (Pinocchio Park) without a car? Would I take a train into Pescia? Or is there a daily bus from Lucca? Tour group? I want to take my 3 year old daughter there and I would appreciate any information from someone that has taken this trip. Thanks!

I have never seen a bus up at Collodi, but it would make sense that there would be one that might drop you off at least close by. It is way up in the hills and very beautiful. Worst case scenario, take a taxi from Lucca.

There is a bus service from Pescia (railway station) to Collodi. The operator is LAZZI.

www.lazzi.it

Hope this helps ...

Thanks Steve! As always, your information is invaluable. I will look into the LAZZI bus service - I should be able to take it from the Pescia train station. Can't wait! Mille grazie.
