Coach Seating Charts

Coach Seating Charts <BR> <BR>Last June, in a thread about Coach Seating, Wes Fowler advised: <BR>" It pays when booking a flight to examine the seating <BR> arrangements of the airline and its aircraft rather than <BR> simply limiting your request to an aisle or window <BR> seat. Being more specific in your seating demands <BR> can result in a far less excruciating experience. " <BR> <BR>Is there a web site that gives coach seating plans? I have purchased tickets on line for TWA flight JFK to CDG & need to call them in mid-June to get seat assignments. <BR> <BR>Have done search on forums & on web in general but found nothing... <BR>I would like some practical info, please, not another venting about the size of the seats -- she pleads with a smile... <BR>Thanks.

The easiest one I've found is www.itn.com. Act like you're looking for a price quote for the flights you are on and follow it through until it gives you a price for the entire flight. Next to the price, on the left, there should be an icon called something like "Choose your Seats". Click on this to get your seating charts.

I take it you didn't book on Travelocity? I think they have seating charts. Boeing's Web site also has seating charts, although not every airline will necessarily have the configuration Boeing shows (AF's 777s are 3-3-3 rather than 2-5-2). But you should at least be able to tell if they're putting you next to the lavatories.

Hi, Marion, <BR>Go to TWA's website for seating plans. Find out from the airline what the equipment is on your flight so you can try for the best seats for your needs. <BR> http://www.twa.com/schedules/sr_seat_maps.html

Our city newspaper just published a web site that has seat map links for major US based (I think) airlines. The site is <BR>http://airtravel.miningco.com/travel...avel/msub5.htm <BR>No www for some reason. I looked it does have TWA and their our diffences for Domestic and International flights. <BR>

Thanks -- I checked the TWA site & they had the seating plan for our flight which I was able to print and can refer to when getting seat assignment. Also saved these responses. It's a great resource, thanks again everyone.
