Closures on 11 November in London?
I'm leaving tomorrow for London and am making last minute adjustments to my travel plan, when it occurred to me that Thursday 11 November is Armistice Day/Remembrance Day. What kinds of things should I expect to be closed for the holiday? Post office/banks or museums, etc.? I was actually there for Remembrance Day 12 years ago but I can't remember if anything was closed that day.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Nov 11th isn't a public holiday in UK so everything will be open. It has become a custom to pause for a minute at 11 am in honour of the fallen, and you may hear an announcement to this effect when you are in a store, station etc, with staff and customers stopping what they are doing and keeping a moment of silence - a nice gesture.

Public commemorations take place on Remembrance Sunday, 2nd Sunday in November, which will be on 14th this year, with Act of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in Whitehall, with the Queen and other dignitaries taking part, and local commemorations at war memorials, parades and church services nationwide.
