Close-In Budget (under $100) Accomodations in Vienna

Our friends will be in Vienna for a couple of days in April and they are looking for budget accomodations. I always prefer to stay close-in to the attractions so I am guessing somewhere within the ring. What recommendations do you have? Thanks!

You are in hostel territory with that budget, that restiction on area and that timing. You might want to try www.hostelworld.com

Wombats is considered one of the best hostels anywhere in Europe, and they have two locations near Westbahnhof, so not in the Ring.

Otherwise, they could try Priceline, which often has good deals for Vienna, but probably not in an ideal location.

I have stayed at the Pension Hargita twice. Very clean and efficient. Also, well-located. And the price is right in your ballpark.

I've also stayed at the Hargita, which is very close to a metro station. Last trip I stayed right in the center at Pension Nossek, but this may be above your limit.

Pensione Lerner has small aparments in your price range. The location is great - I was very comfortable there for a week.
