classical concert in Rome

I will be in Rome the first week in December and would like to attend an opera while there. However, I don't think there's one a the opera house. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to find out information and/or get tickets to at least an operatic concert or even a classical concert? It seems most sites are in Italian.

Thanks.

Try this website (inEnglish) for events in Rome: http://www.inromenow.com/site%20templates/index.htm

This site gives a list of many of the opera sites. Use Google translator at a few of the sites as needed: http://www.rome.info/theatre-opera/

The Rome Tourist Board has links for the venues and you can search by areas. Be sure to click applica and annulla to add or remove selections.

Thanks so much. I was able to find a lyrical concert as well as a couple of operas. Another question - do you know how dressed up I need to be for these events? I won't wear jeans but I'm hoping I don't have to get too dressed up in a gown or even in a dress. By the way these events won't be at the major opera house in Rome. Thanks again.

Here is a link for a group that puts on concerts of opera arias in a church in Rome:

Hi! For future reference, you can also try www.classictic.com. There are listing for classical music and opera events in most cities of interest in Europe. The website usually offers a short description (in several languages, including English) and the chance to buy e-Tickets directly.
