Cinque Terre

Hi all. I am visiting the Cinque Terre area in a few weeks...yes, I know it will be crowded, but it is my only holiday time.

I was wondering if anyone has advice on lodging, restaurants, etc.

I am spending at least five days and would like to spend at least some nights in a different village.

Thanks

Sounds like from other posts you need to make reservations NOW! We stayed at Villa Steno in Monterosso in April and loved it. Eat at Alta Marea in town and Gambero Rosso in Vernazza is wonderful!

One more thing...the villages are litteraly minutes apart. I would not waste time and effort changing hotels between them.

If you can't find accommodation in the Cinque Terre villages, try Levanto which is very close to Monterrosso. Santa Margherita Ligure is an hour north of the CT and a lovely waterfront resort town. You could stay there if nothing else is available, there is a lot more accommodation than in the CT villages. SML is 20 mins by bus to Portofino which is nice for a walk and look around.
