CIE tours
Has anyone used CIE tours for Ireland? They are quite pricey, are they worth it? Am just starting to plan a May trip and would like any advice, or what is the best escorted tour co. to use. Will be leaving from SFO. What about airlines, I think they use Air Ligus to Shannon. Thanks alot for any help. Buck, email, [email protected]

Yes, I'll be taking my third tour with CIE this May also. Out of all the tour companies I've used I think their vaue can't be beat. Also their guides are the best- so friendly and informative. I could just go on and on about the company. They remember you and take care of any special needs you may have. If you have any specific ?'s just write back and I'll be happy to help!

For the previous posters who've taken CIE tours, what was the composition of your tour group? Mixed ages? Retirees? Also, I realize that escorted tours like to cover alot of ground and this can involve hours on bus. Did you feel like you spent too much "bus time" and would have preferred to spend more time in lesser places?

My tour groups have been mixed ages. Me and hubby are in our 30's. Some early 40's; some singles traveling together and some retirees. One of the things I like about CIE so much is that the itinerary is put together so well and there are many short attraction breaks even when traveling long distances. Also when the tour is through CIE asks for your feedback if anything needs adjusting. I noticed the one day I thought was long last year has been changed on the 2002 tours. Like I said before, I think the tour company is great.
