Wow, bonniejean...that's great!

We just returned from our Thanksgiving trip to Paris two weeks ago. I hope you have a great trip; Paris is so spectacular at Christmas. I am so excited for you and all the Fodorites headed over at Christmas. I am jealous but look forward to hearing all about it and seeing the pictures!

Joyeux Noel!

Fantastic, fun photos! I can see from your trip reports that you enjoy Paris around the holidays too. I still can't believe I am back home again.

I know this post is older, but we are planning to go to Paris this Christmas and your post was very, very helpful. Thanks so much. We lived in Atlanta for 20 years, but are in Houston now and like you, my husband has never been. It's been years for me, but we will have a blast I'm sure.

The trip to Strausburg is well worth it. One of the oldest Christmas markets.

Hi Denise,

I was in Strasbourg with French friends who showed me around. Did some shopping, too. Lots to do/see there....The friends own beautiful places in Riquewhir....

You know I am making a quick trip to Paris/London probably leave here 11/30 and return 12/10. F & M and Catherine Reed will be joining me at 110 Taillevent on 12/8 for a fun get together for us. Too bad just a bit early for you...I will be back end of Jan for 2 months....

a bientot...Joan

Denise,

Take a look at your calendar and if you know when you might like to go to 110 Taillevent, we can make your reservation when there. We can tell them all about you...ha! You do know that Alexandre lives nearby....if just the 2 of you going, I think you would enjoy the bar seating..comfortable and fun place to be!!

a bientot...
Joan

The Christmas Market Christkindelsmarik http://www.noel.strasbourg.eu/index....ge=1&id_lang=2
shows the real spirit of the season. If you like ornaments you will fall in love with the hand made glass ones. There are several stands selling these. Not cheap but everyone that enters our house notices the beauty and quality right away. All the decorations for sale are outstanding. They will ship it back if you purchase too much which is easy to do. We wish we were going with you.

Thanks, Joan. I will take a look and choose a date for 110. I do think I remember you ran into Alexandre at 110....feel free to arrange that as a Christmas present for me! LOL!

LCI....i remember and that is one of the reasons we are headed to Strasbourg. I am sure we will regret not staying several days!

Travelbound...we do decorate quite a bit for Christmas so attractive, unique ornaments will be of interest...thank you for the link and will check it out!

It's not going to get here fast enough for me.

Hi Denise,

We are headed to Paris for Christmas week and staying at the Georges V. Loved your report. Would love to have dinner at Le Cinq but there are 4 of us and I think the price would kill my husband. I have dined there twice, and loved it both times! Thanks for this great report!

Well, gruezi, staying there must be incredible! There are so many incredible restaurants in Paris that I am sure you won't be deprived in the least! Honestly, it was delicious and beautiful, but too much food.

We will be in an apt in the fifth this time but close to our favorite area in the 6th and close to Notre Dame.

Have a great trip....it's getting closer!!

Denisea, as the holidays get nearer, we're beginning to pine away for Christmas in Paris. I upped your T/R to again view all your wonderful pix which bring back memories of our 2012 Christmas visit. Thanks again for posting them. Can just imagine how excited you are as you anticipate enjoying our fav city this Christmas. We're so happy for you! We going to pull up our T/R from 2012 and re-live the wonderful experience.

We've been absent from Fodor's for a while, and are happy to catch up with you and your plans.

So nice of you tomarkot! I have not been on Fodor's as much lately as my job has taken over too much of my free time. In fact, I just got home from a trip this morning and we were talking about how I less time to plan and obsess on this trip. But, we are both really looking forward to it. We had such a great time when we were in Paris a few years back. I think it will always be a favorite memory for us. 34 days and counting!
