Christina tours

Has anyone heard of or had experience with Christina Tours in the Chianti region? Apparently this one-woman operation drives small groups of visitors around in her car on very personally tailored tours. Seems like a great alternative to large group tour, but I'd like to know more. If you have any experiences, please share. Thanks!

Go to Frommer's Forum, a few people quoted there for Christina Tour.

www.frommers.com

My husband and I spent a wonderful day with Christina in July! She is very knowledgable, friendly, speaks perfect English, and her prices are fantastic! We plan to spend seeveral days with her on our next trip! Don't hesitate to book a tour with her!

I highly recommend Christina's Tour. It's the best taylored, out of the beaten path tour I've ever took! Christina speaks excellent English, is very friendly, takes her time to explaine you everything you want and the prices are absolutly out of competition (for our afternoon trip 45$ and it took 5 hours!!!). I tasted several wines in an Enoteca (without being pushed by someone to buy it - very important for me), bought wonderful Pottery (Terracotta) from Sergio Ricceri and I just enjoyed every single minute seeing the hills of the Tuscany!

I wish I could be there again.

Ciao!

Tamy

Would someone be able to supply me with a contact for Christina Tours? I had been looking for a Chianti wine tour and this sounds to have a nice personal touch. Thanks!

I agree with the others. Christina and her Tour was THE highlight of my trip! Castello Vicchiomaggio - a Dream - and Montefioralle just to die for. I never had such a funny day!
Folks: Christina is more then a guide, she makes your day!

Terry, as Christina didn't start this t thread herself I don't think your complaint is fair. If you go back on this thread you will see people were asking how to contact her and she was only responding to this.

Since Christine herself did not initiate this message, I find that it is fine to talk about her services. This is a place that we can share information & experiences in order to help fellow travelers. I can understand others concerns but I really view this as just sharing information and making appropriate recommendations.
With that being said, I did not make a tour with Christina but met her while my stay at the Torre Guelfa. She was personable, unassuming & provided us with a lot of information. My husband & I really enjoyed meeting her. Christine, if you read this, Mary & Lou from the tower of the Torre Guelfa says hi - We stayed at the Villa Rosa in July as well & initially met you there!
Good Luck,

Mary

Is this Dr. Abate all over again or what? All the robotic testimonials: "Christina was personable and I would use her again." "She did not start this so please to be telling me that it is O.K."

Everybody here knows exactly how easy it is to post under multiple aliases, Christina, including you. Better watch it or this post will be in the same cyber void that Abate's now occupies.

Read Fodor's rules - no commercial promotion on this site.

Arrividerci.

Terry, get a life! Do you want me to fax you my travel receipts or e-mail photos with Christina and our group? Save your cynicism for a political race! She happens to be a great gal and gave us our most memorable day in Toscana, so lighten up!

Terry/Jesus/Italians:
8/15 Original post (no website or e-mail given)
8/18 1st response "go to Frommers"
8/29 1st positive post
9/10 2nd positive post
9/13 request for contact info
9/14 original poster gives e-mail address and I provide the website
10/22 3rd positive post
Usually with a spam post the spammer would provide the website/e-mail either in the original post or a reply made *shortly* after. This post took 2 weeks for the 1st positive reply and a month before the original poster and myself supplied contact info and in 9 1/2 weeks only received 3 positive posts. To me this thread doesn't seem to have any of the makings of fake/spam posts and I believe it is legitimate. Regards, Walter
Touche, Walter!

Italians ([email protected]) is an obvious fake e-mail address, so I wouldn't give their opinion any credence anyhow. Ditto for Jesus.
