Child's Birthday in Heidelberg

We're visiting Germany this summer, and my daughter will be turning 11 on the day we visit the Heidelberg area. We've already got the day planned, but I was looking for 'different' and 'adventurous' for dinner that night. We'll be staying in Frankfurt and making many day trips from that area, so the dinner can be in Heidelberg or Frankfurt. I was looking for a river dinner cruise or something else she would definitely remember.

Also, she really wanted to find a spooky ghost tour to do while there. Any good one within an hour or two from Frankfurt we could make work. Thank you !

In Frankfurt you might try Dinner in the Dark. You can do it in a number of cities, and there are a few locations that serve it in or around each city. The idea is to eat completely sightlessly so you feel, smell and taste the food but don't see it. I've never done it but have heard about it a lot.

Well, to merge the themes, Burg Frankenstein is halfway between Heidelberg and Frankfurt. You can hike up to the castle ruins where there is a restaurant:

A more intact castle with restaurant, Ronneburg, is 45 minutes northeast of Frankfurt, which might extend your travel too much that day:
