Cheapest way from Paris to London

Assuming you are going from central city to central city -- don't forget to add in cost of transportation to and from the airports if flying. By the time you are done, a special family fare on Eurostar is likely to be the best bet. Adding the cost of the car across the channel and adding a drop-off fee, I can't imagine car rental being the best option.

Also, remember if you rent a car in Paris and drive to London you will be driving a left hand drive car on the left hand side of the road - having driven a UK car in France this does take a bit of getting used to and I wouldn't recommend it for a short stay. Try Ryanair or Easyjet; alternatively take the train.

If you can get the cheapest fare - - only 19 GBP, I bet flying - - www.buzzaway.com - - is cheaper. Not faster, but cheaper.

Best wishes,

Rex
When comparing a cheap airfare to a Eurostar ticket, be sure you're comparing hte TOTAL costs of each: don't forget to add-in the cost (in money AND time) of the ground transport from city-center to airport at both ends, plus any taxes, fees, etc. added onto any tickets, plus be sure you're not going over any airline weight limits that can incur steep surcharges.

With extended check-in lead times, and many miles from airport to city-center, flying can actually take longer than the train.
