Cheap airlines to Paris
We are travelling from Cinque terre to Paris and want to fly. Is it better to take Ryan Air from Pisa to Paris-Beauvais or Easy Jet from Pisa to Paris Orly? At this point, the prices of flight seem comparable but I prefer the Easyjet flight times. As well, I am not sure how far in advance to book. We aren't travelling until July. There are 4 of us (2 adults, 2 children under 14). Is there a trick to getting the best deal? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Orly is much closer to Paris than Beauvais. Beauvais is 55 miles from Paris, compared with 8 miles for Orly.
Not only you'll be spend A LOT MORE TIME getting from Beauvais into Paris, it's also more expensive, even if you take the airport bus. http://www.aeroportbeauvais.com/bus.php?lang=eng
From Orly, you can catch the RER into Paris. http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/ADP/e...lic-transport/
The sooner you book, the cheaper the plane tickets will be. These budget airlines normally sell the cheapest tickets first, and the prices go up as the dates get closer.
Make sure you read the information about how much cabin luggage (aka carryon - both size & weight) you can bring on the plane with you, and how much you have to pay for checked luggage.

EasyJet is simply a better airline than Ryanair. EasyJet's ricing is more straight-forward and the experience will be better. EasyJet acts more like a normal airline than Ryanair, and the experience will be more familar. Given that they also fly into a real airport that is actually remotely close to Paris, this is a no-brainer to me.
