Chauffeur Drive Independent Tour

I'm organizing a trip for 10 to Ireland this summer and am looking for recommendations for a private Chauffeur Drive operator there: a witty, knowledgeable driver/guide with a wide knowledge of the country is the goal. All suggestions much appreciated.

Our family of nine visited Ireland in october. We decided it best to use a chauffeur driver. We went thru Quinlan Tours, Jerry Quinlan Celtic Golf Tours. We flew in to Shannon our driver was there waiting for us. We had a great bus and driver. His name was Jer and he was everything we could ever asked for. His hospitality and knowledge of the area were invaluable. This really made our trip as it removed the stress level we would have had and in addition in riding in the bus we sat high enough that we could enjoy the view over the bushes that we would have had trouble seeing driving in cars. In addition we were very flexible as we could go where we wanted when we wanted.
Ireland is a great place, it was our second visit. We cant wait to go back and again. Goood luck

I'd be a little skeptical if it were me. Seems like jpowell jumped on this as his first & only post.

Topping for others you might want to check out.

budman, fyi, i just registered yesterday, so yes that would be my first post. I discover this website shortly before our family trip in October and have enjoyed reading the information given the past few months, but never had the nerve to join in. Certainly not sure why i did now. You try to offer some info and get clobbered for it. My parents were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary , so in order to celebrate our entire family went to Ireland. We spent two nights in Killarney at the Fairview Guestouse, one night in Doolin, two nights in Galway at the Great Southern, and two nights in Dublin at the Brooks Hotel. Every place we stayed was outstanding. We were not sure about our mode of transportation, but our choice seemed to be a little different to many others i read on this sight, so i decided to respond as i thought i had something to offer.
It is a little discouraging to say the least to finally take the plunge and this is the response you get. Thanks Budman for the kind reception.

jpowell, no intention to slander your opinions/recommendations. There are just too many advertisers and scams on a public website. I was just cautioning the original poster to seek a variety of advice before jumping on something -- and since your post was a "first," sometimes flags go up.

Sorry, but no offense meant.
