CH is "mask-free"

Switzerland has now gone "mask-free". Why the quotation marks? Well...

1) Masks are still required on public transport and in hospitals
2) We've got fasnacht going on where cloth mask are being replaced by traditional masks
3) There are still people who voluntarily wear masks
4) Corona is still rampant but is no longer stigmatized

There's a feeling of celebration and joy as social distancing is slowly being replaced by hugs, smiles and relief in seeing faces again.

FYI, it’s not just hospitals. Most medical facilities — clinics, doctor’s offices, etc — also still require masks.

NL will be mask free from Friday, except for public transport. Many hospitals will still require masks as well. No need to show a QR code from Friday either, or keep 1.5 metres apart and normal opening hours resume.
Hmm.
On the plus side the R number is now 0.83 and infection numbers are dropping fast.

We are going for a meal out tomorrow night before everything is back to "normal", so masks until seated and QR code needed. Planned before the changes were announced.

The new rules on masking in the Australian states of Victoria and Queensland change on Friday too. They sound the same as the Netherlands changes heti described. Masking on transport and inside medical facilities. Also Employees of stores and restaurants still have to mask. Masks requirements are gone everywhere else come Friday and no more QR trace scanning at the doors.
