Cesari or San Carlo in Rome?

Got offers from both San Carlo (ITL280,000) and Cesari (ITL380,000) for 2 night stay. Those of you here in the savy, which would you choose? Are the location & rooms of Cesari worth the extra $45 at night?

I have made positive comments before about Hotel Cesari - - for location, features and value - - but I think that the location of http://www.hotelsancarloroma.com/ (assuming that this is where you mean) should not be considered truly "inferior". It's an apples and oranges comparison (closer to Pantheon/Pzza Navona versus closer to Spanish Steps/via Condotti), and for a two-night stay, only you can decide what you really expect to get from the money you spend on lodging.

If the savings is important to you, I see little reason to believe that you will regret choosing San Carlo.

Best wishes,

Rex
Matt,

I haven't been at the Cesari, but years ago, I checked the San Carlo reception, and it looked a little shabby to me, but i didn't check the rooms.

I don't think that the price difference reflects a better or worse location, since both, San Carlo and Cesari, are well located, but the hotel accommodations and features standard.

I have read many good remarks on the Cesari, and none on the San Carlo, good or bad, so, up to you to decide if you want to pay more, and have a more comfortable, or prettier hotel and room, or if location, and a decent room will suffice.

I hope ut helps.

Regards,

S

Thanks for the comments. It sounds like there have been very few, if any, negative remarks about the Cesari. Which means I should go for it and not have to worry about "what if".

Thanks,
Matt
Stay at the Cesari just to experience the elevator.
