my goodness! I've walk past that area countless times and have never noticed a playground. Weird. Oh Well . . . . .

No. I just wanted to spoil Dancing Bear's Meaningless Internet Chatroom Victory.

That's funny, Cholmondley_Warner! My daughter refuses to take a special trip over there to look for it; any London locals willing to confirm its existence? We shouldn't just hand the winner's cup to Dancing Bear, should we?

I'll be there next week. I'll have a look (and indulge in some mindless vandalism).

In the event that CW returns with allegations of the playground's non-existence, I reserve the right to refuse to acknowledge those findings without a full-scale United Nations investigation.

Okay, let me see if we have this straight:

in one corner we have Dancing Bear (does dancing bear dance under the full moon ?) who has provided google images of said playground.

in the other corner we have Bowsprit whose daughter refuses to make a special trip to satisfy an i-bet (internet-bet).

somewhere we have janisj who concedes there may or may not be a playground there.

all along, C_W is undercover getting a demolishing crew there tout de suite (or as the yanks call it 'toot sweet') so he can be right. 'cause he's always right. especially when he is trying to eat rubies. or curry. or something.

and then there's surfmom who is slowly losing her brain. She just wishes she didn't know it. It is much easier when you don't know you are clueless.

--------------------------------------
ftr, I will be there in late April. I will take picture of said playground or of the barren ground where it used to be. That assumes that the UK isn't still frozen.

I've spoken to my attorney and I have disinherited said daughter.
