Ceremony of the Keys
We applied for tickets about 5 weeks ago and have not heard anything. Does anyone know if there is a number we can call to check on the status of our request? If our dates were not available, would they respond as such, or is no news bad news?

sterling17 - Did you send an international reply coupon for the return postage? If not, that's probably why you didn't receive your tickets. If you did and if the dates you requested were unavailable, I'm sure that you would have heard back from them. I applied for tickets a year and a half ago and received a reply within 2 to 3 weeks and it was summer time. I've only read about written contact, no phone numbers to call. If you have time before your trip send another request. Hope you get the tickets. The Ceremony was one of my hightlights in London.

They respond whatever the answer - but that can take up to 6 weeks or more. Some people do get answers quickly - but that is not guaranteed. They do not take phone calls re the Ceremony.
If it has been 5 weeks - give it another few days and then send another letter to follow up -- but be sure to also include all the necessary info just like the first time. If they did not receive your 1st request and you leave something out of the 2nd letter, all you would get back is a form letter telling you what was missing (names/addresses of each person, self addressed env, postal coupon, choice of dates) and you'd have to start over again.
(Even if you did not send the postal reply coupon, they would still answer - but only w/ a form letter telling you you didn't include one.)

Thanks everyone, especially TT for the number. I called and they have a reservation for me and sent out the tickets several weeks ago. If I don't receive them, they just said to call once I am in London and they will arrange duplicates. Thanks again!

I hope someone can offer me some assistance.
I went to the post office today to get my International reply coupon for the CofK and the clerk said they (the post office) did not sell them anymore. What?
Has any one else been told this and if so how do you go about getting tickets?
Signed,

Hi - I'm from Canada and I bought my "International Responde Coupon" at the Post Office (cost $3 CDN). Sent my request, with the coupon and self addressed envelope 2 weeks ago and have received my tickets already.

Sounds like you got a postal employee that doesn't know much. The name is changed, but the product is the same. Print off this page http://www.usps.com/global/intlbusinessreply.htm and take it to the office.

tsali - i had to visit the main branch of my city's post office, then ask multiple clerks, then help them search for the item code in their computer, but i bought one. clerk said it was the second he had sold in the past 12 months. i searched www.usps.com (no luck). you might try 800-ASK-USPS if nothing else works. good luck!

Thanks Keith and Ronradio.
I'll try again today and see what they say.
By the way, I was at the main post office and the clerk asked two or three other agents and they all said the same thing. The clerk did ask if I wanted to speak to the supervisor but I opted not to...probably should have.
Will let you know if I am sucessful.
Thanks again!
