Have not done it myself, but it is always better to purchase online as soon as possible for pickup at CDG.

The cheapest ticket is a SMILYS return (roundtrip) ticket. It's E24.50 RT compared to E74.50 single (one-way). Naturally, restrictions apply. It has to be booked at least 14 days in advance and it is non-refundable and non-exchangable. You can book it at either thalys.com or sncf.com.

Adding to my previous post. Unless you're planning to use the return portion, just throw it away.

Oops! E24.50 is officially the price each way, even though a roundtrip is required. So the total price is E49.00. It's still cheaper than a one-way ticket.
