Thanks bluestar; Alive and kicking and I still expect a dinner for two. Option '2' took five minutes to complete. Perhaps an elegant dinner for two.

I didn't think I'd live to see the day--but that's what comes of reading "Bleak House."

At most I'm counting on enough money to fund....one trip to the vending machine.

Anything more than that'll be a Christmas bonus.

Well now...I open up the mail today and get a letter from the CCF administrators...along with a check for $136 and change.

I had completely forgotten about this thing - glad I didn't take the $25 goat behind door #1!

An unexpected check for $270 showed up yesterday. The accompanying letter says they are producing a sequel, which will probably be titled CCF II.

Both my son and my husband each received a check for $18.04.
I was so surprised as I had forgotten about this as it took so long.

DH got a check for $99.86 yesterday. I should also be getting a check as we each have our own cc accounts and I filed separately. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Got our check last night, $91. DH was surprised that I'd been expecting it, but I had, due to this thread.

My FIL got his $18 check last week. We did method #3, so our check should be for more money, but has not arrived yet.

Has anyone noticed that the check is really 1 small piece of paper, folded in half, and taped shut??? EASY to mistake for junk mail or get lost among the other bulk/junk mail advertisements, inside pages of catalogs, etc. And they were mailed out just before Christmas shopping begins, when the junk mail & catalog volume increases. Has anyone thought that this might be intentional - maybe with the idea that many checks will be "lost" - especially since most people (including my FIL) are not expecting the check? Heck - we "filed" many years ago!!!

Stu, my check was in a regular envelope and had a return address that indicated it had to do with the Foreign Transaction Fee suit (don't remember the exact wording but there was no doubt what it was for).

Our check was also in an envelope. Also in the envelope was a letter telling us that we were automatically entered into another class suit.

Wow, I almost tossed this generic looking (junk mail impersonator) envelope in the trash. I'd forgotten about this lawsuit. My check was for $202. I lived overseas for three years and paid quite a bit in fees during that time. I'm happy with my $202 and it couldn't have come at a better time
