CCF SETTLEMENT
It seems like the largest 'consumer class action suit 'ever', is getting close to being resolved. We filed 'option 2, having spent 251 days in Europe during the ten year period, 1996-2006. Ths final brief, yet to be accepted, allows $86 million for 'lawyers' and $336 million plus interest for 'consumers'. Many people 'scoff'' at class action suits. We shall see. Waiting for my piece of the pie, too. I had just emailed them a couple weeks ago to ask for the site to be updated, if there was one. They emailed back but said the claims process was still ongoing. So this is a new status, thanks.

Hi bettyk; Probably Christmas, 2010. There will be a 'final judgment' of the 'final settlement', plus hearing any additional appeals, before checks will be issued. But the process is moving, 'slowly'. Richard

Here's the current status, from the ccf settlement website posted above. Appeals are in process, so it won't be settled (paid) any time soon.
"The Court granted final approval of the settlement in a Memorandum and Order, dated October 22, 2009, and, on November 4, 2009, the Court entered a Final Judgment and Order of Dismissal in this case. Eleven appeals have been filed challenging the Court's approval of the settlement. The parties are litigating these appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
The issuance of refund checks for valid, timely claims will not commence until after the appeals are resolved (in favor of the Court-approved settlement), and the Settlement Administrator has validated the claims. "

Took only 5 minutes on-line to file option 1 or 2. The problem is, so many more people filed a claim than was projected, that all claims [settlements] will be pro rated 'down'. We shall see. No harm no foul
