Castelrotto or Bolzano in May
We would like to spend 2 nights in the Dolomites in early May ( I know that isn't a good time, but that is our only option). We are deciding between Castelrotto and Bolzano. We hear that Castelrotto is beautiful but are concerned about that location in early May (snow, places closed down). Since Bolzano is at a lower elevation would we be safer staying there? We're really interested in the beauty of the area with hopes of a little hiking and seeing the green hills with wild flowers. The only snow we hope to see is on the high peaks. Which locatioin would be our best choice.
