carry on baggage on Sata

I actually posed this question on another thread...apologies...but You guys have flown Sata and probably know the answer to this
Can a passanger take a personal item (like a purse or laptop) as well as the 6kg carry on bag?
Any help would really be appreciated!

erb. I did answer on the other post but let me make a suggestion.

You can call SATA customer service. I had a question that I wanted explained and I called them. They are very nice and speak very good English.

The other suggestion is to email them. They answer promptly.

Hi erb. I do not know if your trip has started or is finished. I just wanted to tell you that SATA never even looked at our carry on nor did they weigh it. And everyone around us had tons of stuff.
I think we might have been only two of few who were concerned with the baggage.
The girl sitting across from me had a large soft purse type carry on. I couldn't help noticing when she opened it up to give her travel companion something from her one quart liquid bag that it was one gallon, at least. And if that bottle of lotion I could see in it was 3oz. I would have drunk it!
But I am still glad we complied.

But they were very lax as far as I could see with the carry on guidelines.

FYI. The plane was super, the food pretty good and I would fly them again.

We flew SATA inter-island in the Azores and people had dogs, prams and all sorts of stuff that went in the cabin.
