Care and Driver in London

We will be traveling in Europe next month (London/Prague/Munich)flying in and out of London. When we leave Munich we fly into Stansted airport and depart for home the following day from Gatwick. We are staying overnight at Gatwick. The train/taxi/train route sounds long and tiring. Has anyone used the car/driver service? I've seen several online in the range of 85 pounds. Or are there other alternatives I haven't discovered.
Thanks.

So you're saying you need a car service to pick you up at Stansted and take you to Gatwick (to a hotel)?

I've used Swiss Cottage Cars for years and they tend to be very competitive. They recently added a website for tourists, but it seems those rates are much higher than what they quote if you call.

You can get a direct National Express coach between Stansted & Gatwick but it's £25 per person & takes up to 3 hours

Correct - the Gatwick Hilton. Thanks for the information. Perhaps it would be better to make the reservation once we're in London on the first leg of the trip?

Frankly, yes. I can't imagine needing more than a week or so for Swiss Cottage Cars. In fact we were going to take the tube back to Heathrow once, when we found out an accident on the track had closed it down and there were bus alternatives. I called Swiss Cottage Cars and they were at our flat in 20 minutes.
