Car Rentals -- any idea how we can get our price down?

Thanks for all the great input! I am going to try those other agencies suggested and calling AutoEurope, rather than working online...or we may just need to do the two separate car rentals (one in Italy, one in France) if that turns out to be a real cost saver. Thanks again and would appreciate any other input.
