car rental in Munich
I am meeting my husband in Munich, but I arrive very early. He has a meeting, so we cannot leave Munich for France until mid afternoon. Which is the best way to rent a car-at the airport or train station, or in the city. If in the city, which location gets us easy access towards France? I understand Strasbourg, our french destination, is about 3 1/2 hours away. Is that true, or is that at 90 mph? Thank you!

For your motoring needs, learn your way around www.viamichelin.com - it gives you more than maps and distances, you find travel advisories and other good info as well.
It reckons 4 hours from München Flughafen (airport) to Strasbourg, at a petrol cost of about 43 Euros (hugely depends on what kind of ca you rent of course).

Airport and train station rental pickups typically have additional fees so it is cheaper to pick up at a city location. Try Kemwel.com or Autoeurope.com which are brokers and sister companies. I get the best rates through them.
Are you picking up in Germany and returning in France? If so, you will incur a large drop fee for returning the car in a different country. Same country/different location typically doesn't matter
