Hi
Loved the balloon shots over Cappadocia. Having visited Turkey I would say Cappadocia was the highlight of my trip. I'm not into rock formations but this site was extraordinary. And looking at your photos of The Esbelli Evi, well what an amazing place to stay. Truly unique all round.

Those pictures are wonderful! Just starting to plan a trip for next October. Could we fly from Cappadocia to Izmir as we really want to see Ephesus. I hear Izmir is really not much to see so would one day at Ephesus be enough time and then back to Istanbul? Any private tour company recommendations for Ephesus? Thanks.

Yes, you can get a flight from Kayseri to Izmir. Check with Turkish Air (AnadoluJet) & Pegasus. A few direct flights but most via Ankara or Istanbul (eastern airport SAW). Our Izmit to Kayseri went efficiently via SAW. And yes, you can easily 'do' Ephesus & its museum in Selcuk in a day. A guide in Ephesus? Skip one. Just get there when the gates open (8AM ??? - we arrived at 9) with a decent guide book. The avalanche of tour groups arrive at 10.

Cappadocia to Izmir, Most reliable Sun Express 6 days a week in the season, and yes Pegasus also started exact same dates different times than Sun Express. Anadolu Jet does not fly direct to Izmir.
Airport for thisflight is (ASR) Kayseri.
Happy travelling,
