Can't find the TWENJ site...

I loved perusing the Traveling with Ed and Julie site before my trip to Italy last summer. I wanted to refer a friend to the site, but am unable to find it at the old address I had saved or at a newer address I found during a search. Is it possible to still reach this wonderful site? Please help! Thanks.

No, Michelle, sadly, the site is out of service. I hope I am not the first to tell you this, but Ed died earlier this year.

It is possible to retrieve a little bit of the info from the site through cached pages of a google search, using the following URL - - http://www.google.com/search?q=+site:www.twenj.com+twenj

Sorry for the bad news,

Rex
Myself, I have no idea how websites function. But is it possible that someone could contact Julie, we know her and Ed's name and where his funeral was (city). Personally I could think of no better Memorial to Ed than to keep his website alive. Ed & Julie have helped thousands of people on their journeys. I would think with ad banners on this site it would pay for the cost of the site plus any extra revenue could go to a charity of Julie's choice. Although someone would have to run the site and keep it updated occasionally. Just a thought! Regards, Walter

No one here is that altruistic to make such an offer to Julie.

x: It was meant as a "Memorial" to Ed. Regards, Walter

Whether its meant as a memorial or not, no one here is altruistic enough to invest the time. Julie should just sell the site.

I do not think altruism is the question. The content of that site has value. I just hope that Julie has a way to keep their hard work avaiable to future travelers. It would certainly be a tribute to the memory of Ed. I agree with Walter. Perhaps someone should try to contact Julie and see what her intent may be. It would be a shame to lose such a valuable resource.

I nominate you, Bob. You and Ed are/were real travel pros. If you are willing, please feel free to contact Julie on behalf of all of us who value the info on the site. What a nice tribute that would be to Ed's memory.
