I posted this message the other day but can't find it so here goes again...<BR>I looked at Olympic airway's website and they have no flights between santorini and mykonos for all of 2002. For those who are planning trips, have you found this to be correct? So is the only to get between islands now the ferry/hydrofoil? (or fly back to athens)?<BR>also, has anyone heard of aegean aviation? I found a flight on yahoo travel for them between athens and santorini.<BR>For those who have booked flights with olympic, can you comment on what is being affected given the recent news articles on the airline?<BR>I'm thinking of going in May but may push it out to Sept...Thanks!

we're having the same problem - no flights between santorini and mykonos. We looked into that Aegean thing - but they didn't have anything on any of the days we wanted - which we found weird. So right now we're assuming we have to take the ferry. <BR><BR>If anyone has an info, I could use the help, too! Has anyone flown Aegean Airways? <BR>

Welcome to travelling in Greece. We found the ferries not so bad really. Nicer if you book a cabin.

Assuming Olympic is around in May, it is very possible they haven't listed their May flights yet. That happened to me the last time I went. They didn't list those flights until about six weeks before we were to be traveling. I suggest you call them.

WE travelled on Aegean Airways while in the Greek Islands last year - we also travelled on Olympic Airlines as well. Aegean was the better airline - newer planes, good service, left on time etc. We also had the problem you have of connecting between the islands and because of the time of year we were travelling (March/April) there were limited ferries on the days we required them. As it turned out, it was so windy at the time, we were very pleased we booked airline tickets as the ferries were either cancelled or very delayed! We had to fly back to Athens for our connection - not the cheapest way of doing it but as it turned out at least we were able to stick to our travel plans. Enjoy your holiday!

errol<BR><BR>Expedia.com are selling Olympic Aviation tickets between mid February and March 2002 between Thira (Santorini) and Mykonos. It seems that other months aren't yet available. As Diane mentioned it looks like Olympic haven't yet made their summer timetable available yet. That's pretty much their usual routine.<BR>Might be worthwhile speaking with your travel agent though as in January 2001 I booked July flights with Olympic between Athens and Mykonos. They were available but hadn't been uploaded to the web site.
