Canon Powershot G2 for travel photos
Hola

I posted this in a different thread and got maybe one reply there directly to me, so I thought I would ask again. I apologize for the redundancy but thought it might garner more responses if it stood alone...

does anyone own the Canon Powershot G2, and if so, do you like it? I am thinking of buyin a new camera very soon to take with me on my various trips, plus, I have at least seen some aerial shots with it and they seem quite impressive - great detail. would be nice to snap a picture of Mom 'n Dad's ranch from the air, with it.

anyone have direct experience with it? or other advanced digicams - I am not an amateur but neither am I a pro. (far far from it).

I admit to not being on top of the new stuff - my digicam is 2.5 years old... what is a microdrive?

thanks.

The G2 is one of the best cameras on the market! If I had to do it over again I would have purchased it over the Epson PhotoPC 3000Z with which I have taken the digital pictures on my web site.

Good Luck..
www.vacationtechnician.com

Just came back from Greece and took tons of photos with the G2 and very satisfied with it. Great sharp images and 30 second videos. The only gripe I have with it is the lense cap design. Can't go wrong with it. But I do recommend buying a bigger memory.

thank you all!!!

how much memory, happy? would 256K be enough for 2 weeks or so worth of pics? (ok, make that 400-500 pics, I take a LOT).

how easy are the batteries to charge over there? do I have to buy a converter or may I take extras & forgo the converter (my current camera usually has enough juice to last me ten days, but I am sparing on the LCD and take most of my photos with my regular camera, like 80/20- as this one is SO nice I might change that ratio a bit)

would love to see you photos, happy! are you planning to post a link?
