Areala, if you mean Word that runs on Windows, I live in a house with three Macs, but no Windows, so I can't help you there.

In Word for a Mac, press the option key, the shift key, and the number 2 at the same time: €.

Like Areala I cannot get the euro symbol. I see it on my keyboard. It is on the %/5 key to the right of the 5. Bit I can't get it to appear. Euro symbol is not among the symbols on my character map.

I'd like to help you with € but mine is on the E key and I just have to press "alt Gr" with E to have it. have you tried the "Alt Gr" key?

Reference to the Euro Symbol:
If using windows:
Hold down the ALT key while entering 0128 from the numerical keypad.

The way to make a Euro symbol that will always render correctly in HTML is

<b>&amp;euro;</b>

If you use a keyboard shortcut, it may or may not come out right on everyone else's computer.

Pound is

<b>&amp;pound;</b>

Oh, I get it now, the semi-colon is part of the symbol, not part of the sentence.

OK, I got the hold alt key and type 0128 from numeric pad and that worked:

However the &euro; does not work. Do I hold something else down with it. Also notice my &amp; is different than yours.

Hey look at my last post. After I sent it, it came out correct but it didn't do that until I posted. I didn't see the euro sign until then. Weird

In Micorsoft Word I also tried the &euro; and it did not put in the euro sign.

OK, my husband just walked in and told me in Microsoft word all you have to do is go to the insert tab at top a pull down comes down hit symbol and a bunch of symbols come up, find the &euro; and hit insert and waa..la..
