A twin pass is simply a discount for two people traveling together. They only issue one ticket, so you can't split up.

Be sure and do an "analysis" of cost/options for the itinerary/destinations of your choice - - on railsaver.com - - before you even think about buying any "rail pass". Be sure and click on the box "Only if it saves me money".

Best wishes,

If this is similar to the so-called "saver" passes (two or more people traveling together) and I suspect it is, it means one pass covers two (up to four or five if you pay for it) people.

Do not be misled into thinking that one person cannot use the pass alone (in case the other doesn't wish to travel that day such as for a day trip) because they can.

yes, it is a matter of pricing; you save about 20% over the cost of spearate passes for each person.

Don't worry, the "twining process" is temporary. Nobody is joined at the hip.

If two adults are traveling together, the ticket makes sense.

But, you must stay together. Or take a chance.
