Camping gas / stove fuel in Podgorica (Montenegro)?

Hello all,

We are going to camp in the Durmitor national park in August. We are coming to Montenegro by airplane, so we will need to buy liquid fuel in Podgorica and we need to be sure that it will fit to our stove. We know three types of liquid fuel cartridges: pierceable, clip-on and screw-in. We have a screw-type stove so we need screw-in cartridges.

- Do you know a shop in Podgorica where camping gas / stove fuel is sold?
- Do they sell screw-in cartridges?
- What is their street address? We will not have much time so we'll need to find the shop quickly.
- What are their hours of operation?

Thanks in advance

Hello all,

Sorry to confuse you, in fact we are looking for gas, not liquid fuel. Propane/isobutane or something

I don't have an answer but have some suggestions:

Check with the campsite, this question has probably come up before. They should also know name and address of nearest campfitters.

If you are flying in, it must be a relatively small stove. Plan to purchase one in Montenegro?

oops

Thanks for the reply,

We are going directly to the mountains so there is no campsite to ask.

We have a very compact folding stove like this: http://shop.jetboil.com/index.php/sumo-cooking-al.html. We know that many shops there are selling pierceable gas cartridges, but we think that these are inconvenient because you can't disconnect the cartridge from the stove without losing all gas.

We have found them!

Screw-in cartridges can be bought in Zabljak, in the VOLI supermarket, at the second floor. They are rather large (500 g).

Sadly it was after we returned from the mountains. Before the mountains we searched all other places and finally decided to use a petrol stove, buying petrol at a local gas station.
